Three Delta-8 Cocktails To Celebrate Cinco de Mayo
Table of Contents
On May 5, 1862, against immense odds, Mexican forces defeated the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla.
Since then, the commemoration of that victory, which held great symbolic importance, has been known as “Cinco de Mayo.”
Cinco de Mayo is not to be confused with Mexican Independence Day (September 16). In Mexico, the holiday is primarily celebrated in Puebla, with more widespread observances in the U.S. to celebrate Mexican-American culture.
To help you celebrate this year’s Cinco de Mayo, we put together this list of Mexican-inspired cocktails featuring Delta-8 Tinctures
Let’s begin!
Delta-8 Pineapple Jalapeño Margarita
Sweet, yet sour. Salty, yet refreshing. It’s impossible not to see why the Margarita is the most famous Mexican cocktail. If you’re looking for a Margarita with more spice, bright tropical sweetness, and bliss, this Delta-8 Pineapple Jalapeño Margarita is a must-try.

Delta-8 Ranch Water
Technically from West Texas but most definitely margarita-inspired, Ranch Water is a simple, refreshing favorite of the Lone Star State. Featuring lime juice, tequila Blanco, and Mexican mineral water (you know which one we’re talking about), Ranch Water might be your favorite drink going into summer ‘22.

Steps
- Fill glass with ice.
- Add tequila and lime juice.

Delta-8 Mexican Mojito
A Mexican-inspired take on a minty Cuban classic, the Mexican Mojito swaps out the soft yet sweet taste (by liquor standards) of rum with the earthy, citrusy, and even peppery notes of tequila. Nonetheless, it’s light, fresh, and another excellent option for warm days.
Ingredients
- Mint Delta-8 Tincture (to preference)
- 4 mint sprigs
- 3 lime wedges
- 3 teaspoons of sugar
- Ice cubes
- 1 ½ ounces of tequila blanco
- 2 ounces of seltzer
- 1 ounce of lemon-lime soda

- Slice a lime circle.
- Garnish with a lime circle and 1 sprig of mint.
About Delta-8 and Alcohol
Delta-8 has its own set of effects, and so does alcohol. And now you’re combining them. So with that, there are a few extra things you want to consider.
Take It A Bit Easier On The Delta-8
If you haven’t tried Delta-8 tinctures yet, you might want to hold off on mixing them into cocktails. And if you do have a bit more experience, it’s a good idea to go a bit “lighter” than usual.
Delta-8 is a form of THC, and alcohol can enhance its absorption. Or in other words, the effects might be a bit stronger.
Expect An Onset Similar To Edibles
As always, it’s essential to enjoy any cocktails responsibly and in moderation. And the same applies to cocktails with Delta-8 in them.
So if you’ve just finished a cocktail and you’re wondering when the Delta-8 kicks in. Because the tincture has to travel through your digestive system, the onset of effects will be similar to edibles.
