While most of what the TRO blocks affects businesses, for consumers in Texas, it means that as of this writing (4/17/2026), you can buy THCA products at your local hemp shop or order them online for delivery.
But how? Among the major changes that went into effect on March 31 was the redefinition of hemp products. On the Farm Bill, hemp is defined as cannabis with a 0.3% or lower concentration of Delta-9 THC by dry weight. Although THCA decarboxylizes into Delta-9 THC when heated up, it wasn’t counted towards the threshold.
Those new rules are temporarily halted.
With that in mind, if you are a fan of our
THCA concentrates, we highly recommend you grab a stash sooner rather than later. How long the new regulations will be blocked is unknown and dependent on upcoming developments.
What’s Next for Texas Hemp?
On April 23, the Texas Hemp Business Council will appear in a hearing on a temporary injunction. But what exactly is a temporary injunction? A temporary restraining order prevents one party or entity from taking a specific action for a specified period of time. A temporary injunction, however, limits these actions until the related legal proceedings have been completed.
