“Hemp” means:

  1. The plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof, and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis when tested using post decarboxylation or other similarly reliable methods.
  2. A plant of the genus Cannabis other than Cannabis sativa L., with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis when tested using post decarboxylation or other similarly reliable methods, but only to the extent allowed by the department in accordance with applicable federal law, including the federal hemp law.

What’s the Difference Between Delta-8 and Delta-9?

Some may think that Delta 8 and Delta 9 are basically the same, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Although Delta 8 and Delta 9 are both forms of THC, they offer their own unique effects.

Both compounds share the same chemical makeup, but they have a slight difference in molecular structure. Delta 8 THC has a double bond located on the eighth carbon chain, and Delta 9 THC has a double bond located on the ninth carbon chain.

If you aren’t a chemist, you may be thinking – how would this separate them? Well, where the chemical bond is located affects how your body responds to the cannabinoid. Delta 8 has been known to be less potent with different effects compared to Delta 9.

What Are the Effects of Delta 9 THC?

There are many different effects that Delta 9 gummies can cause, so it may be difficult to pinpoint exactly what you will experience. Although there are no guarantees, cannabis enthusiasts have reported feeling:

  • Euphoric
  • Uplifted
  • Motivation
  • Relaxed
  • Calm

The effects listed above may happen to you, but it varies from person to person. Some factors that may encourage the ideal experience include knowing your tolerance and being in a controlled environment.

If you don’t know your tolerance, it is best to start small. Remember, it can take up to 90 minutes before effects begin to appear, so remain patient. Lastly, plan out your environment. We recommend enjoying products containing hemp-derived Delta-9 with some friends in a safe and familiar space.

Is Delta 9 Safe?

Like most things, Delta 9 THC is generally safe and should be used moderately. After consuming Delta 9 or any other form of THC, you cannot operate a vehicle or heavy machinery.

Remember to start small and wait patiently for the effects to arise. Not heeding this advice may lead you to feel overwhelmed. If you think you may be in this situation, don’t worry. There is very little threat of physical danger with hemp-derived Delta-9, and the best thing you can do is keep your mind occupied.

To improve your experience, we recommend listening to music, watching a movie, or taking a deep nap.
