Make sure you’re logged into your Hometown Hero account so we know who to give points to. If you’re not logged in (or don’t have an account), you’ll be prompted to log in or create one.

Upload your video
Upload your video (minimum 15s) that relates to one of the 4 categories through this page. If it is deemed a valid entry, you will receive 500 Hero Points (and a chance to win the other prizes)

For a chance to win the crowd favorite prize, share your video on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or X with #HometownHeroUGCContest and tag @hometownheroatx.

Hometown Moments Contest FAQ
How do I enter the contest?
Submit your video (minimum 15s) through the official UGC Contest page on hometownhero.com. Pick one category (Comedy, Heartfelt, Recipe, or Veteran Testimony), and provide your email address.
Can I just post my video on social media with the hashtag?
No. To be considered, your video must be submitted through the UGC Contest page. Posting on social media helps with Crowd Favorite, but without submission + agreeing to rules + providing an email, your entry won’t count.
Do I need an account to enter?
Yes. Your email must match a Hometown Hero account. If you don’t have one, you’ll be prompted to create an account and opt-in.
Can I submit more than one video?
Yes, you can submit up to 3 entries. You’ll earn 500 Hero points for each valid entry — up to 1,500 points total.
What are the video requirements?
- Minimum length: 15 seconds
- Must be original
- Must be themed in one of the categories
How are winners chosen?
- Category Winners ($500): Selected by Sponsor
- Top 5 per category (excluding winner): One free product of choice (excluding bundles)
- Crowd Favorite ($1,000): The video with the most engagement across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X
How do you track the Crowd Favorite prize?
- Must use #HometownHeroUGCContest AND tag @hometownheroatx
- We’ll add up engagement across all eligible posts
- Only posts during the contest dates count
Which platforms count?
Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Engagement on private accounts won’t be counted.
How will I know if I’ve won?
We’ll contact winners directly at the email address you used to submit your entry.
What if my email isn’t tied to an account?
You’ll be prompted to create an account and opt-in — this is required to participate.
Can I use music/images from others?
Only if you have rights. Your video must be original and not infringe on copyright.
Do you keep my video forever?
No. By entering, you give us permission to use your video for marketing, but you can opt out at any time. To do so, email store@hometownhero.com and allow up to 30 days for us to discontinue using your content. This opt-out applies to both the general marketing license and the publicity release.
