THC Topicals

THC topicals are products you apply to your skin to activate your body's endocannabinoid receptors, resulting in a targeted sensation of relief without psychoactive effects. THC topicals come in a variety of forms, with the most common being roll-ons, creams, and balms. 

Topical THC works by interacting with the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is a network of receptors and chemical messengers in the human body that regulates critical functions like mood, sleep, and pain perception. Naturally produced compounds called endocannabinoids will bind to CB1 and CB2 receptors, located in various bodily tissues and organs, to carry out such functions. 

However, phytocannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, are so structurally similar to endocannabinoids that they can interact with the ECS, binding to your receptors and producing a range of pleasant effects. When you use topical THC, this compound will bind to the receptors in your skin.

THC topicals deliver targeted, rapid relief without the psychoactive effects you would get with cannabis edibles or inhalables. They're best applied to specific pain points such as sore muscles and joints, for localized effects.
